What We Are Seeing Right Now
By-Debbie Smith
As we move through the year, we are seeing continued changes across both Medicare and traditional insurance plans. Many Medicare Supplement plans are experiencing noticeable premium increases, and at the same time, home and auto insurance rates continue to adjust due to rising repair and replacement costs. These changes don’t necessarily mean you need to make adjustments – but they do make it a good time to stay informed and review your options when appropriate.
Staying Ahead of the Changes
Insurance and Medicare plans continue to evolve each year. Staying informed helps you make confident decisions and avoid scams.
A New Approach to Cancer Care
One area that has seen significant advancement in recent years is cancer treatment.
You may have heard about something called genomic sequencing. This type of testing analyzes a tumor’s unique “fingerprint” and helps doctors match patients with more personalized and targeted treatment options.
Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, this allows care to be more precise and tailored to the individual.
Some newer insurance options are beginning to include access to these types of services, along with additional financial support during treatment.
For many people, this represents adifferent way of thinking about protection -not just covering costs but supporting access to evolving medical advancements.
“Some of these newer options are becoming more accessible than many people realize.”

When It Makes Sense to Review
You may want to consider a review if:
- You’ve recently received a premium increase
- You haven’t reviewed your coverage in the past year
- You’re curious about how newer options may fit into your overall plan
- Or you simply want a second opinion
Even if no changes are made, having clarity can be very valuable
